Issues can now be given a location in the 2D view. Coloured dots mark the location of issues in the 2D viewer giving an immediate visual understanding of where issues are as well as their status and type. Using issue locations your project can leverage massively improved control over the placement of issues. This feature complements the functionality of the Bimsync mobile app, empowering projects with seamless creation, monitoring and management of issues created in the field, back at the desk. These features are available in Arena:

  • Apply a 2D location to an issue and view it on the 2D viewer.

  • Move or delete an issue's 2D location.

  • Open an issue from its marker on the 2D view.

  • View the issues, status, type, due date using different colour filters.

Find an issue's location in 2D starting from the issue list:

To find an issue's location, open the issue in the issue list, click on the "Has marker" text in the issue details and choose "View marker on 2D":

The marker for the selected issue is shown as dark blue:

  • Markers can be moved (click and drag to a new position) and deleted.

Adding a marker to an issue

Create a new issue or open an issue without a marker and click on "Add marker". For in-application help click on the help button on the bottom right of the 2D viewer.

Right-click in the 2D viewer and choose "Add marker".

A new marker appears in the 2D view. Click on "Assign current marker" in the issue.

The marker and issue are now joined, the location field in the issue shows the text "Has marker".

You can also create the marker first, then create an issue and assign the marker to the new issue. Issues can be moved to a new location (click and drag) and deleted (click "Has marker" to open the marker menu).
